Client stories from chart review sessions

These accounts come from traders who booked live reviews, joined weekly labs, or completed our six-week cohort. Names are abbreviated with permission.

I booked a review on a banking stock I had held through two pullbacks. Duc pointed out that my "support" was actually a congestion zone with three overlapping daily closes — not a clean level. I tightened my stop and exited when price closed below it. The trade still lost, but the loss was half what my original stop would have produced.

The cohort forced me to submit charts even on weeks I felt lazy. Week four feedback on my volume notes changed how I filter breakout attempts — I now require above-average volume on the breakout candle, not just the day before.
— Quan V., cohort graduate, 2025
Honest review: the first lab session felt slow because two participants had not prepared their charts properly. Thao sent a prep reminder after that and the next three sessions ran much tighter. The group dynamic is worth it once everyone shows up ready.
— Mai H., chart lab member since 2024
Remote review from Singapore worked without issue. Linh marked my charts in real time and the PDF exports arrived the next morning. I would have liked more time on my fifth chart — we ran over by ten minutes and she covered it, but it felt rushed at the end.
— David R., remote review client
My capstone playbook from the cohort is twelve pages now. I still use the swing-high marking rules from week one before every new entry. Not every trade wins, but I know why I entered and where I am wrong.
— Phuong N., cohort graduate, 2025
Came in expecting stock picks. Left with marked charts and a clearer sense of where my process breaks down — usually sizing too large before confirmation. That was the right outcome for me.

Extended story: Rebuilding a watchlist process after repeated stop-outs

Client: Minh T., part-time trader, District 7
Format: Live Swing Chart Review followed by four weeks in the chart lab
Period: September–October 2025

Minh contacted us after three stop-outs on the same VN30 ETF swing within six weeks. He suspected bad luck; his charts suggested inconsistent swing-low marking. In the initial 90-minute review, Linh replayed his journal entries alongside daily charts and found that Minh moved his stop up after each partial profit, then re-entered on minor pullbacks without re-marking structure.

Minh enrolled in the chart lab to practice presenting one chart weekly with explicit invalidation levels. By week three, other lab members flagged that he was skipping volume discussion on breakout setups — a pattern Linh had noted but Minh had dismissed as optional.

After four lab sessions Minh reported two swing trades taken with pre-defined stops that survived normal pullbacks, and one deliberate pass on a setup he would previously have forced. He continues with monthly drop-in lab seats rather than a full cohort re-enrollment.
